New member of the Gender and Equality For All (GEFA) Committee – Edengenet Mashilla Dejene!

BIOQIC has a new member joining the GEFA Committee! Congradulations go to Edengenet Mashilla Dejene, who will be representing the 2nd Cohort to improve our strength in the activities of the GEFA Committee. GEFA stands for gender- and family-life-related aspects and is a mentoring committee, which offers advice on these aspects of academic work. Examples are the encouragement of women to strive for an academic career, to apply for leading positions after successful Ph.D. defense, career planning as well as for men and women with children to get a home office and reimbursements for childcare.

The other members of the GEFA panel are Ingolf Sack, Jeanette Schulz-Menger, Judith Bergs and Yavuz O. Uca.
