Seminar on Research Funding and Research Careers by Christian Renner (DFG)

We are happy to announce an informative seminar about the writing of DFG proposals! The seminar will take place on February 16th from 16.00-18.00 h. The seminar will not present a systematic overview of DFG funding programmes or a step-by-step guideline for writing DFG proposals, as both can be found on the DFG webpages www.dfg.de. Rather, it will address the topics of research funding and careers from ten years of experience on research funding. Thereby, the point of view of funding organisations will be conveyed, which might make it easier to interact with such organisations. Similarly, alternative career paths will be illustrated, such as science administration and management, research infrastructures, and science communication. The seminar will be interactive, with no prepared slides, and will be in the form of reacting to questions.
