We are pleased to share a new publication by our BIOQIC, elastography & FOR 5628 group members in Advanced Science titled ‘Compact Tabletop Magnetic Resonance Elastography for Mapping Soft Tissue Viscoelasticity’. 💡 The work shows that tabletop magnetic resonance elastography (ttMRE) can quantify intratumoral biomechanical heterogeneity in human colorectal liver metastasis (CRLM) and reveals that heterogeneity-based metrics (e.g. entropy and variability of shear-wave parameters) outperform conventional stiffness measures in distinguishing treatment response. These findings highlight the potential of low-cost, tabletop MRE systems for translational cancer research and quantitative assessment of therapy response. Congratulations to all authors! 🙌
