PhD positions in Magnetic resonance elastography in Berlin.
4 PhD positions (TV-L 13, 65%) are available for a period of three years, starting August 1st 2018. These will be part of the newly established Collaborative Research Center (SFB1340 Matrix-in-Vision) on “In vivo Visualization of Extracellular Matrix Pathology”, a collaborative venture of the Berlin university hospital (Charité), Berlin universities (Technical University, Humboldt University and Free University), and research institutions (Physikalisch-Technische Bundesanstalt Berlin, Bundesanstalt für Materialforschung Berlin, Max Planck Institute of Colloids and Interfaces, Potsdam).
We are looking for highly motivated, inquisitive, enthusiastic, and result-driven PhD candidates with an excellent academic record and prior research experience. Candidates should ideally hold Master’s degrees in Physics, Chemistry, Biology, Medicine or related disciplines, which are relevant for the development and applications of Magnetic resonance elastography in biological tissue including small animal disease models. We offer collaborative supervision from basic scientists and clinical experts, embedded in one of the most dense and innovative academic regions in Europe, including the top-rated teaching hospital Charité with Europe’s largest radiological department.
